During our 3rd year Newsdays in University I was chosen to direct our last live TV Show as shown below. The video demonstrates my ability to work in a team and to take control under the pressures of live streaming.
One of the main things I’ve learnt from doing this is that communication plays an important role in leadership. It was essential to converse with the producers, presenters, floor manager, camera operators and autocue, prior to the show to be able to establish how the programme will span out.
Though live programmes always have their mishaps and in our case, we went through many problems. One of them is that you can actually hear my commands through the presenters mic and therefore can be heard on the actual broadcast.
Below are the series of Bulletins I directed and produced throughout the day. My role throughout the day was to keep up with the news editor in order to progress my hourly bulletins.
